"Our son, Henry, is over 2 years old now and has been with Parvin since he was 3 months old. We are thankful every day that he has such a nurturing place to be while we are at work.

Early on we were comforted by Parvin's training as an ICU nurse and her attention to cleanliness. As Henry has grown, we have

continued to see the positive results of the stimulating

and loving environment that she creates for the kids.

Henry loves Parvin and greets  her each day with

excitement. Parvin takes obvious joy in her time with the

kids and seems to have boundless energy and patience for

them all.  She delights in their growth and new achievements and worries

over their illnesses as if they were her own children.

We cannot say enough positive things about Bethesda Village Daycare, Parvin, and her helper Carmita. We continue to be grateful each day that our son is in such capable and loving hands. Thank you!"

"We are parents of a one and a half year old who started going to Bethesda Village Daycare since she was seven weeks old. Before she was born, we had the chance to visit few daycares in the surrounding area, but once my wife saw Parvin’s daycare she really wanted our child be in that warm, cheerful and happy place. As soon as that happened, we felt like Ilinca has a third parent.

With a healthcare background, Parvin’s medical knowledge about taking care of children is a huge asset and a guarantee that the children are in good hands. We didn’t have to give any instructions about how Ilinca should be taken care of. Everything went smoothly, in a very natural way and soon a strong relationship between them was built. Occasionally, when we have to take vacation and go for

a trip, we see how much Ilinca is missing the daycare. Every day

she spends there is full of fun, in a very exciting

environment and healthy development.

We can’t find enough nice words to thank Parvin and her helper,

Carmita for their dedication, their love and ultimately, for

their help with rising our daughter. God bless her and keep her healthy so she can take care of many children onwards!"

My daughter joined Bethesda Village Daycare when she turned 1 and I had to go back to work. Before finding Parvin, I visited more than 10 home daycares in the area and was extremely worried with the options available.

When I first met Parvin and saw her place I felt

relieved that I could go back to work not having

to worry about Nina's well being. I was sure she

would be very well taken care of. Everyday that I

take her to Parvin, her excitement shows me how

happy she is, I feel as if I was taking her to my

mom's house.

Parvin provides an impeccable place for the kids to play, her background as a nurse is surely reassuring for parents, but more important than that, the love and care she demonstrates towards the kids is what really makes Bethesda Village Daycare such a special and blessed place.

Carmita also joined the team and, together with Parvin, work in a perfectly balanced rhythm to help the kids in their activities. I cannot say enough thanks to express how grateful I am to Parvin and Carmita for the wonders they do daily for Nina and my family.

Having recently moved from Boston, I feel so lucky to have found Parvin during the months I spent searching for the best childcare for my son. He was ready to transition from one-on-one nanny care to a setting where there were other kids. Before I moved to the area, I had my husband check out Bethesda Village Daycare. He confirmed everything I felt about Parvin from our phone conversations - she is extremely warm, caring and runs an extremely clean daycare with lots of fun toys we have at home. What a relief!

I really enjoy Parvin and Carmita. They are both very warm, detail-oriented, energetic and loving. I have no doubts, sadness or qualms

whatsoever at dropoff. In fact, I've come to realize being at

Parvin's house is a privilige and I feel so relieved to have

stumbled upon such a gem!

Another thing I enjoy is the closeness withthe other parents.

Because we are a small group of parents united through a very

positive circumstance, we have gotten to know each other and I enjoy interacting with them at pickup and dropoff."

Avery (2 years old) was just 5 months when she started at Parvin’s daycare.

Avery was the first baby at Parvin’s, starting just a few weeks before Henry

arrived. As a first time mom and parent, I had very mixed emotions about going

back to work. Being from Canada, standard maternity leave is one year, so 5

months with her felt like it was not enough and I was worried that Avery was

simply too young to be without her mom and dad. After first meeting Parvin,

however, I was already reassured. And after Avery’s first full week at daycare,

and several phone calls to a very calm and reassuring Parvin, my worries quickly subsided and I was able to relax and focus at work knowing that she was being taken very good  care of.

Parvin, or ‘Pi’ as Avery calls her now, has been generous, thoughtful, warm and loving since the day we met her. My husband and I know that she (and her whole family!) cares very much for Avery and treats the kids as her very own grandchildren. She regularly goes out of her way to make sure each of the kids feel special by decorating the daycare with balloons for each of the kids’ birthdays for example, or making their favorite food or snacks (which are always perfectly healthy). When Avery (or my husband or I for that matter) are under the weather, she has on numerous occasions sent us home with homemade chicken soup, and other delicious homemade dishes and frequently sends Avery home with healthy treats and leftovers. She has been flexible and understanding on days when we’re stuck in traffic or on the red line.

Parvin, and Carmita somehow have more than enough energy to keep up with all the kids and keep them engaged through all kinds of simple, creative games and play. Avery has picked up both Farsi and Spanish words since being there and we’re thrilled she is learning about languages other than English.  The kids, whom have become great friends, play outside or visit the park regularly, and get plenty of exercise and rest.

Parvin has been such an important person to Avery in these early years of her life, and we know very well how hard it will be to leave her daycare one day. When she does leave though, it won’t be for long, since Parvin has already asked us about attending Avery’s college graduation, yes, really. We plan to keep in touch with Parvin as Avery grows up so she sees who she becomes and where she goes after her very early days at Bethesda Village Daycare.

These days, when I drop Avery off at daycare, she runs to Parvin's daycare, and most days she doesn’t even look back.

One of the most difficult

decisions, as first time

parents, was to decide who

will take care of our son.

Having interviewed with two other facilities, it became clear that Bethesda Village Daycare was our first choice.  The big difference was Parvin herself.  Initially, her past experience as a pediatric nurse at NIH calmed our nerves - we knew our son would be safe.  It was very comforting when we first saw her interact with the kids.  The kids were all happy and felt at home. The smiles on their faces told us all we needed to know.

We are very fortunate to have Parvin, and her assistant Carmita, care for our son since he was 11 weeks. They are both very loving, kind, knowledgeable, and experienced.  We even consider them part of our family.  Parvin attends to all of our son’s needs, no matter how big or small.  As first time parents, we value her advice and suggestions which many times give us peace of mind.  She worries as if he was her own, especially when he is sick, calling us for updates on his condition.  We know our son is in great hands!
